The Rosner R.A.T.s have a monthly meeting every third Wednesday of the month all year round at the Barley Mow, where our host landlords Graham and Sue welcome you all. Our rides usually depart from the Barley mow at 10:30am. However if different times of departure apply we depart from the Shell Garage in Godstone and details will be given in our newsletter. We aim to provide rides for all kinds of skill levels and machinery, so all members will have fun.
Look forward to seeing you and Keep those knees in the breeze.

Latest News:
Only the other day I was talking about not being able to fill out the page of the monthly newsletter without repeating myself. Well that is not the case this month and much has happened since Mid October.
Our day trip to the sand and sea for the beach races was not as though some thought it would be. We managed to stay out of the rain for the journey down. But as promised by our local weather girl it will rain and heavy at times with south westerly strong winds. Now apart from the crazy excitement of standing on the sand watching mad max antics on enduro bikes, standing in the rain was not an option. So we headed home in pouring rain. Well we enjoyed most of the day.
We also attended the NEC Motorcycle show, as I know many of you did. That Tiger (Incorrect name in my opinion) actually looked ok. Upside down forks, trick rear suspension, new alloy frame and a host of other goodies. The bike looks like its winner.
On Sunday we held our traditional “Two minute silence ride” starting at the Barley Mow PH. Our thanks to Graham for setting up the teas and coffee. We paid tribute to the servicemen, and our own friends who have lost their lives.
17 bikes and 2 pillions turned up for a ride to Lydd airport and a Sunday Roast. After lunch we squeezed into our bike cloths and headed for the twisters of Camber and the Canal military road to Appledore. Ending up at the Blue Boys PH for a season’s farewell pint. Brilliant ride and great company.
Previous News:
August and September seem to have literally flown by and now the sunny evenings have all but faded away. My guess is that you will be looking for the thermal linings to ride home in after a late evening ride. Strange how you can never quite wear the right bike gear all the time. You put that vented summer jacket on in the afternoon and wish you had something warmer in the evening. When we ventured to the Scottish highlands in the height of summer myself and Carol both took our Triumph vented summer jackets and by the half way mark of our holiday we had full wet gear over the top and an unscheduled purchase of a fleece top. Makes you mad doesn’t it.
By end of August into September on our trip to Austria via all the neighbouring countries we decided to wear full Cordura jackets and trousers. Just as well as we encountered snow blizzards in Switzerland and heavy cold rain in Italy. But the sun did come out and show itself and although it was hot the breeze whilst riding kept our cool
Alans ride to Shoreham airport was not very well attended which was a crying shame as the route was a mix of all road types. Shame the horsebox brigade was out on Sunday. Other than that the roads round the back of Midhurst and Steyning were relatively clear. So where were you all? my guess is you went to Brighton. Umm I suppose we will have to include it in our calendar for next year.
