Hi All,

Thanks firstly to all those who came on the last run, it was an excellent run and from the emails I’ve received thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The next run will be the overnight run to Ullapool, then on to the Pie Shop and up for John O’Groats before returning back to Aberdeen. From the emails I’ve had the best weekend for it is:

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September I’ve got a really good route in mind for this which will include suitable places to meet our members who stay in the Perth direction and our Inverness/Orkney contingent. There are several options open for the overnight stop, I’ll get some details of hotels sent out in the next couple of days. There was a good hotel we stayed in a couple of years ago that if we could get a few rooms there it might be good, the food was excellent too. There’s a camp site for those who want to camp and also B&B or a hostel.

If you want to come on this run let me know so I can have an idea of numbers for booking a table for an evening meal and as soon as I’ve details of where we could potentially stay I’ll send the details out with the number of rooms available so you can book it.

If you get chance have a look at www.ratyak.co.uk Tom has started this site nationwide trying to get all the RAT packs to talk to each other. It is being monitored by Triumph to see if it is a success so do register, the bunch who are on there so far seem a good group with some great experiences to share.

I hope to hear from lots of you soon with your ideas/suggestions and putting your names down for the two forthcoming runs.

Firstly thanks to all those who came on the Pie Run, it was a great run despite the weather on the Sunday, there are a few photos on the site now.

Final run of the year

SATURDAY 24th OCTOBER I’m planning one final run to close of this year, it will be a fairly short run leaving Aberdeen and heading somewhere for lunch. If you are interested let me know so I can get an idea of numbers and I’ll get a venue planned out.
