The sun shone down on what turned out to be a very successful fundraising afternoon at the Merry Monk. I would like to thank all of you that came along to give your support, and eat the excellent burgers! Simon Stone was the bbq king, and Simon Haste spent most of the time keeping the 'Gorilla' inflated-thanks to both of you.

A big thank you goes out to Jerry Burt for giving up his time to come along with his Police bike and chat with people, and a special thank you to Phil Webb for his very generous donation.

Thanks also to Andy Braeger and his efforts in selling raffle tickets and also many thanks to the Merry Monk for all their assistance.

We did great on the money side, especially as we only ran for 4hrs! The break down is: £560 taken, less £150 for food and gas bottle, so £410 to Air Ambulance! I have spoken to Air Ambulance and they are really chuffed and sent a big thanks to us all. Their stall collected in the region of £70 which was good apparently.

The money will be collected by Air Ambulance from the Merry Monk and they will forward a thank-you letter which I will display in Total Triumph.

Did anyone else miss the helicopter fly-past? I had to go to the loo and missed it!!
