DAYTONA 675 TRIUMPHS THREE FIRST PODIUMS
Wednesday, August 20, 2008

The FOOTHILLS TRIUMPH Daytona 675 piloted by Brad Hendry (#616) had another excellent weekend at the Motorcycles Racing Association (MRA) during their 6th round weekend on Sunday August 10, 2008 at the Pueblo Motorsports Park road race course in Pueblo Colorado.
The previous race weekend (round # 5) at Hastings NE on July 13, 2008 had seen the Triumph 675 with an engine problem in practice that took the #616 machine out of the three races. However with a great re-build by the Foothills Triumph team, the 675 was back in superb action.
In all three races, Middleweight Superbike, Heavyweight Superbike and the feature Race of the Rockies GTU, the Triumph 675 started in the front row and after the long front straight of the Pueblo race track, easily took three holeshots. For the next 2 laps the Triumph 675, using its excellent torque characteristics pulled away from the second position Kawasaki and the rest of the field made up of Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki’s. The pilot Brad Hendry then put this superb race bike into overdrive and cruised to three first places in these well competed races
With 3 podium first finishes the Triumph Daytona 675 re-claimed overall first position points lead in all three race series.
“This Foothills Triumph Daytona 675, with the engine re-built by Kevin McGuire, the service manager at Foothills Triumph, again performed flawlessly and showed its awesome capabilities” said Pilot Brad Hendry. “I just seem to fit this 675 so well and with the superior torque delivery of the Daytona 675 coupled with the excellent tire grip of the Dunlop N-Tec tires I have the advantage to beat some really fast riders. The top contenders were pretty equal on horsepower. The real difference is in the in-field where the awesome torque delivery of this triple engine allows me to gain the advantage”.
Brad HENDRY (#616) is sponsored on his Triumph Daytona 675 by Triumph Motorcycles America, Foothills Triumph Motorcycles, Dunlop Tires, Wheelworks, Bel-Ray Oils, Alpinestars, Suomy, Woodcraft, Ferodo, and SharkSkinz.
