Triumph has identified a potential problem with the handlebar risers on a limited number of Speed Triple motorcycles. The models affected are from the 2008 model year from VIN number 356308 to 359180.

Feedback from our factory has indicated that a small number of machines have encountered handlebar to clamp movement. Our in-factory checks give us confidence that it is extremely unlikely that motorcycles incorporating this concern have been released to the marketplace. However, rider safety is of the utmost importance to Triumph and therefore we are recalling this model to fit new handlebar risers.

Affected models should be taken to an authorizedd Triumph dealership and have new risers installed. The modification will be carried out free of charge and should take no longer than 30 minutes.

Triumph has written to all registered owners of 2008 model Speed Triples, affected by this action advising them of the recall and urging them to contact their local Triumph dealership.
